  anyone know how to convert or watch .dav files on a mac? It's the file format for CCTV cameras. Google was not very helpful and I didn't find anything in the video apps on the Apple downloads site... Anyone? Got footage of an accident my daughter had and need to show it to some friends with a legal background.

  yup, found a freeware that allows me to watch it on a PC. It has a function to convert the file to AIF format but that didn't seem to work, even on the PC. Will keep on looking for programs that can convert the file into something that can be played on a mac.
