My housemates off for a few weeks work so we've a free room in our big house in crouch end, north london. Its available from August 24th - mid october so would suit any of you freelance summer campers who are around. and a mixed bunch of telly creatives, designers, civil servicers and PHD students.
Room itself is a good size but basic so is £410 a month. We are right round the corner from haringey overground (1 min to finsbury pk, 10 mins to old st, 15 to soho), 5 mins from green lanes for the buses and 10 mins walk from finsbury pk tube. Its a 6 bed with big kitchen + living room, broadband, top cable TV package etc with a cleaner so the communal areas are pretty tidy with minimal input

'stab central'? 'LOL'?
I live just around the corner from straightola, pay more and live with around 30 people than the above and I'm quite happy, thankyouverymuch.

Stabbed? Your more likely to get run over by an au pair with a pram.

Haha, yeah Crouch End is pretty leafy. Although I think the 15min to Soho is a bit far fetched!

Never doubt the power of QBNer to get in early doors with an ill informed cuss. Its cheap for round our way, most are £500+ and we have a really big gaff
Overland behind our house takes 5 mins to highbury and islington the 10 mins on the Victoria line, its a proper slipstream

Must be a challenge for the shower in the morning with 5 other people.

2 bathrooms and my rooms ensuite plus half the house are freelancer/student so never really an issue

I'm in crouch end too, couldn't be more quiet/family oriented.
I call it Crèche End due to all the babies/prams etc- everyone must absolutely crease up when you drop that bomb of a joke!********

The Middle-class North London Plan:
1. Youngster / single -> live in Dalston.
2. When you've found 'the one', move to Stoke Newington.
3. Once you have a couple of kids and need a bigger house -> Crouch End.

@ Lukus_W
Fuck! It is true. I'm on 2.
But I just came back after a few years in Bristol, and I'll probably end up back in the homelands of suburban west london. But still, I didn't think I was a middle class barometer. I haven't got the cash or the accent.

- It's all aspirational .. you don't need the money, you just need to fit the marketing profile ;)********
