in general, is there a figure?
how often can you expect places that have at least 20 people on staff to have an opening?
sometimes can there be like years between?

Places tend to hire whenever they have a job vacancy.
I'd have thought you would have already know that?

Every 2 weeks.

A company with 20 people wouldn't hire often. Also depends on how many designer works there, and when that fat ass plans to quit.

Every 28 days, then occasionally they're late and get all worried about being pregnant.

If it's a vendor, turn over is generally high for full time (People get burnt out and go postal). Also, there is a high percentage of staff that contract and get paid hourly or on a day rate basis. ($500-$700 a day depending on services offered). If it's a more conservative internal shop, could be years before there is an opening.
