A friend of nine just gave me a 3gs because he got an iphone4.
I guess he had some stuff on there(cough) that he didn't want me to see, because her wiped it.
Is there a way to activate it without itunes? I don't want service, just an ipod =)

yes, is probably not activated anymore if she kept her number.
works better than an iphone since ipod touch has no speaker.just format/ restore it on your own computer through itunes.

Flip it on ebay. Buy a new ipod with the money.

But I can't activate it on itunes without a service plan right? I'm guessing there has to be a way to hack it.
