Anyone here from or has ever experienced Knoxville, TN? Did you like it? What's to do there? Good place? Recommendations?

I grew up in Oak Ridge... 30 minutes away....swam on the Atomic City Aquatic Club... I miss it sometimes... go to Big Ed's Pizza in Oak Ridge... kid memories, place has changed alot.... Knoxville is pretty cool around the University last I remembered...

Go see a concert at the Bijou or Tenessee theaters. Eat at tomato head! Drinks in the sunsphere. Go hiking nearby or drive 45 mins and visit Asheville!

the wife and i flew into l.a. and toured all over the country 5 years ago before settling in knoxville. there's a lot of money being pumped into the downtown currently, lots of cafe's and pubs popping up all over the place (which has been good business for me).
the east tennessee historical society is one of the best museums around, really really good info on the population of the area. knoxville museum of art is good too.
grt smoky mountains, climbing mt leconte, kayaking/rafting all over the place- we do a lot of camping/boating.
a lot of festivals during the weekends = free entertainment for the fam. the kids love the events downtown.
basically, a small city- everything's very local. minor league ice hockey, baseball -UT college sports and such. big eds pizza was mentioned earlier, great.

the website does not to the shop justice. couple of old hippies run the place. they sit around and make art all day while they make the interns do all the work.

Awesome, I saw Knoxville, and it wasn't that bad. Sadly only had a day to see it. Does anyone know any graphic design, branding, interactive companies in the Knoxville area?
