What is your trick to organizing tasks and increasing productivity?
To many ideas floating around.
To date, I've checked out Action Method & basecamp.

All of the tools like diaries and PM apps and sticky notes in the world won't help if you don't commit yourself to sticking with those tools and methods. :)

i looked at quite a few organisation methods for my ideas and current work.
Swiss miss created this for herself, which then blew up and millions now use it, quite simple -
http://teuxdeux.com/but i wanted a local organisation tool/GTD app (Get-Things-Done)
i tried quite a few but settled on this (if you're on windows)

Because you have tasks on the left, then when clicking them you can view notes within that task. Thats what i wanted.

The only thing for me is having a space specifically and solely for 'working'... or designing. I have office space in clapham now and get soooo much more done coming into the office than I do when working at home.
Other than that, fuck knows mate.

have a genuine interest in what you're doing.

get a boss, partner or client stand over you with a loaded shotgun.

- yeh man, big time. if others are working hard, you feel you should do the same!Hombre_Lobo

+1 to set!
you NEED a separate work place. So much better for your brain to develop associations of working within a specific environment. Which i think is the reason freelancing is so difficult, working at home for me just isnt as productive.
Also much like having a separate workplace, the morning commute to that workplace/office is really good to get you prepared, the walking aspect is the best bit, gets you woken up and ready.
and stay away from your desk if you are trying to come up with ideas. I think very few people come up with great ideas when sat staring at photoshop, after effects etc.

the only thing that works for me is a tight deadline.

I use "Things" for the Iphone.

It practically runs my life now. Great for organizing projects and setting deadlines. You have to stick to those deadlines yourself though... No app for that.- i use things on my iphone too, you really need to be more specific Sep...********

I prefer action method. Their AIR and iphone/ipad app is amazing.

I have the opposite problem, I'm just too productive. How can I be less productive?

Today I turned off chat (iChat, g-chat, etc.) and already I feel cleaner, sleeker, faster—like the aftermath of a monstrous deuce.
