Mac vs PC for design

i think this question is only relevant for someone starting out. if you're established in your 'field' using a particular platform and are more comfortable and productive with it, this question seems kind of pointless.

I'm definitely more comfortable with Macs.. I've been using them for about 7 years. I just wanted to appear flexible for this new position so I didn't demand they purchase one. We'll see if they do or don't.

Mac vs. PC is only an issue when it comes to ancillary tools. SWF to GIF converters don't really exist on a Mac. Testing Safari on a Mac is easier than getting the software to test IE on a Mac. Fonts can be problematic if you're not using OTF. I dunno, there are a lot of other outlying issues like this, but in the end, the actual design work comes down to the talent of the person at the keys/mouse, not the operating system in front of their face.
