Landed on Tuesday morning and unfortunately missed the World Cup celebrations that began Sunday night and continued Monday.
:(
Still I'm upbeat about the next few days in this city. QBN always delivers with this sort of thread so I'd like to ask for suggestions for cool:
book stores, art galleries, happenings, pick up soccer games, interesting bars and clubs.
QBN go!

Museum of Hamon (Ham) is great to see.
The Botin (the oldest restaurant in the world) the whole suckling pig is world famous, make reservations or eat late.
Tapas Bar hopping is a don't miss
The Olives in Spain are amazing, some bars serve them like the States serve peanuts.
There is a Lomo shop in Madrid is fun to go to as well.
The whole city is art so just take it all in. It's like Balboa Park for real! Enjoy.
