I'm looking for a camera with the same characteristics.
in a similar range of price.
So far only the Canon s90 looks ok,any other cams out there,
I've got $600 max price tag,Thanks

IMO the S90 can't be beaten in the point and shoot category.

if you are looking for the same specs and the same price, why dont you just get an LX3?
- Atkinson0
and you can get it for around £250 now

I think it looks ugly but the Samsung EX1 has gotten some good reviews.

I have an LX3... I think it's a pretty solid point and shoot cam. Not that i've owned a ton of other ones.

I just ordered an LX3. That doesn't really help you, but I just wanted to say it anyway. Cheers.

fuck it,
I'm ordering it too,
I read this review about the samsung tl500/ex1,
it sure looks nice but the number of good reviews I got from people that own the lx3 convinced me.- S90 is nice though.canuck
- I know man, I even gave it a try a a store near my place, it just that so far the friend's review are steady positivegeorgesIII

So, the specs say the LX3 excels at low-light shooting, producing shots with minimal grain. Reviews say that it suffers above 300 ISO. This is conflicting information. What gives?
- I'm also thinking about purchasing one, but I'm really hesitant.monospaced

I think they're jumping to LX5.

fuck I already waited a year,
I'll just buy the lx3, screw it.

don't buy a sigma dp1 or dp2.
i had an LX2 that got stolen, and i bought a dp1 to replace it. sure, the sensor is vast compared to the minisensors on almost all compacts, but the LX2 blew it away in terms of operating speed, low-light sensitivity, and battery life. the sigma compacts are absolute shite.
that is all.

the lx3 is a stellar point and shoot. next best thing is a canon dslr imo.
