I actually like the way you've handled the side comments.
Also, with a small bit of work, we could get your password!

"Since this work falls under the research category, it is strictly for my own personal use and not available for download, sorry"

If you published this app, I can guarantee a major increase in drunk posting.

i'm sure if enough people show interest, he'll put it up for sale... or he's hoping the Qoob will buy him out.
- Miguex0
Yeah man, put it for sale, I'd buy it.
And if the Qoob doesn't buy you out, they are loosing a good opportunity, either way, if this works well you shouldn't have troubles getting some projects going in the next couple of months
(or for as long as apple's credibility is up, at least)

AWESOME but MAJORLY GAY!
Why show it if you're not sharing it?

There's another community I participate on called Shacknews, it's one of the oldest gaming websites and one guy developed an iPhone app which you can fork at GitHub and other people has contributed to it and changes those changes have been merged into the app. The app has been updated to support iPad too, they even developed an API of the comments so anyone can make a client for the website (one guy did a client for Windows for example).
The app is available on the app store for free and the source code it's on GitHub like I said, that's the way it should be IMHO.
http://www.shacknews.com (the website)
http://github.com/Squeegy/latest… (the iPhone client source)
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/l… (iTunes link for the client)- although if QBN wants to give him money that'd be nice, but the app should be free IMOernexbcn

distributing or selling a product containing another company's branding or trademarks for profit and without their consent is generally a bad idea.
i use the term 'research' because that language implies fair use. i suppose i could give it away, but i'd probably need to remove all branding and borrowed graphics. doesn't seem like a very interesting app anymore, does it?
this app is not production-ready. and using the approach i took, it never will be. qbn never opened up an api for me to hook into, so as you can (or cannot) imagine, this is a bit of a kluge. bottom line, it needs a real backend for handling server requests/responses.
finally, this is just show and tell. i created something fun and am showing it off, just like any of you would - but i'm trying to do it in a more responsible manner. and quite frankly, i'm surprised at some of the outragous reactions i'm getting becuase i'm not giving it away. qbn has been pretty good at cleaning up stray threads, so i'm sure this one's on their radar by now. if something's going to happen, it'll happen. in the meantime, i hope it's not asking too much for a little patience and understanding your part.

So it'd be good if the QBN gods chime in about this and see what they think about it, I believe anything that helps the community is in their interest.
And let it not end with an iPhone app, someone should do an Android one too.

just give us the damn app, u made it already
by the way - looks fuckin sweet
- tymeframe0
Nice work! There's a lot of potential here.
QBN, make this man an offer on his app.
