whats the longest you've waited for a job to open up? I applied to a firm and they didn't have openings but offered me freelance. this was four months ago. i'm still interested, but haven't really talked to them either. since has been slow for me, i want them to consider me, what should i do.

I think you should consider that after 4 months, its probably not going to happen. I'd apply elsewhere, just to get the ball rolling.

Time hasn't been slow for you - 4 months is actually a long time.

I arranged to meet this girl at a bar. That was 4 months ago. I'm still interested but haven't talked to her since. This is too slow for me what shall I do?

if you didnt bother to call them for four months forget about it and move on, you're not interested.
make a list of places where you DO want to work. apply there with full motivation

ah man I am definitely in that position(2months into it). Altho I have been interviewing at other places for full-time while freelancing in house at this place. You should probably talk to them though before giving up.
- i have freelanced at places in hopes of full time at other places too and after 3months i usually talk to them and if they say no i find another one.hellojeehae

Never waited on an agency. It's like waiting for a chick, fuck em. Just go find someone else.

Do you like the place? Do you like the people? Do they seem to like you? Do they look like they're about to be bought? Do the account people seem desperate?
They may be doing you a favor by keeping you freelance.... as I've had freelance gigs where I outlasted fulltimers, because I didn't count in a certain part of the accounting, they could keep me on, whereas fulltimers were laid off .... I have no idea of the accounting, but that's what happened...
Many agency fulltime gigs are more temporary than you think if the company is about to get bought and/or the sales and account people's new client/project pipeline is getting emptier....
