My first iPhone app was accepted to the AppStore last night!
It's just a very basic (read 'free') tool to generate colours at random when you shake your device.
information on the colour can then be reviewed and the colour saved for later.

FYI: this was built entirely in JavaScript and compiled using Titanium by Appcelerator. http://www.appcelerator.com/

Of what use is this application of yours Samush? .. to let's say, designer.
- Samush0
admittedly it's not gonna change your workflow, but it's a bit of fun and was a good development experiment, which was the main motivation behind it tbh- hence it being simple and therefore free.

I dig it, I just hate apps where I have to shake the shit out of my phone to make them work. Always afraid I'm gonna toss my phone. I'll delete the app for now and give you a decent rating, until you fix the issues.

A masturbation app - I like it. =] More seriously, good for you; a little frivolity is a good thing.

pointless.
- not for me to learn how to develop iphone apps using javascript. i was just thoughtful enough to share the app for free, at least show a bit of support.Samush

how is it working with appcelerator? did you use the community edition?
- Samush0
yeah prophet i used the community/free edition. the API documentation needs to mature slightly and the Q+A part of the appcelerator site is dreadful, but that is going to change soon apparently.
if you know any javascript and want to play in the app world it's worth looking into for sure. learning objective-C is a much bigger leap than learning a new API and its quirks!- tx. i might give it a whirl. it looks interesting. i'm not a programmer so this could be a good solution.prophet
