Has anyone successfully integrated SSP Flash/SSP Director into a concrete5 site?
I've been trying to figure this out for two days, and no joy. Google isn't helping, either.

Well, great so it can be done, then.
The question is: how? :)

Isn't director a cms? Why are you also using c5 as well?

What exactly is this issue? It could be something easy. Do tell...

Well, the main issue is that c5's Flash block only handles self-contained SWFs.
In other words, if there's anything being read from an outside file (like XML), you're screwed, because there isn't a provision to upload all dependent files to the same location.
So, the point is, if you're running a Flash slideshow that has an XML file that looks for images in other locations, you might as well forget about it.
Well, at least forget about the CMS handling it all gracefully. I've managed to hack my way through, using the HTML block, FTP and file properties read from SWFs uploaded to c5's File Manager. It's not elegant, it's not as easy as I would want it to be, but it works.

wouldn't a cross domain policy solve that?

Erm. Hmmmmm. I'm not sure, to be honest. I've never tried ...

So you can load in an xml file just fine right? Can the XML be formatted to have absolute paths to the images? Would that solve your issue?

see if this helps...

The loading of the XML is a bit of a hack involving the Base parameter, and manually hard-coding in the SWF place using an HTML block in c5 using this syntax:
/admin/files/6412/7645/8568/rogo...
Like I said, it's not elegant at all. But, it works.

There: rogosin.swf?xml_path=images.xml
