Well, the main issue is that c5's Flash block only handles self-contained SWFs.
In other words, if there's anything being read from an outside file (like XML), you're screwed, because there isn't a provision to upload all dependent files to the same location.
So, the point is, if you're running a Flash slideshow that has an XML file that looks for images in other locations, you might as well forget about it.
Well, at least forget about the CMS handling it all gracefully. I've managed to hack my way through, using the HTML block, FTP and file properties read from SWFs uploaded to c5's File Manager. It's not elegant, it's not as easy as I would want it to be, but it works.
