wow i thought I used more I only used about 500 mbs

looks like i could save $15 a month.

I just checked and I average just under 200mb per month of data. I don't use Pandora or any streaming stuff, just emails and news apps.
So yeah, I could save a little bit per month by switching to the new plan. Not bad.

So, why does everyone have their digital panties in a bunch?

Isn't this going to be cheaper for 95% of users?

- If you get to the maximum usage every month and don't go over, it approaches that, but isn't. http://gizmodo.com/5…albyeno

These are high numbers. I use my phone all the time and my average is about 200 mb per month. I looked up my last few months of usage. Here's a calculator to guess where you are: http://www.att.com/standalone/da…
or you can look up your old bills like I did.

Speaking of no service, is anyone having problems with their iPhone not being able to connect to WiFi networks?
Mine says I'm connected when you're under the setting but in the top menu bar I don't have the wireless fan, just the 3G icon.

coverage but not service. lol.

Here is the bigger issue at hand here. Even if you don't have AT&T, it is likely to affect you. It is going to change the industry pricing of data service for all carriers. Typically, as one goes, so they all go. We already have capped service on cable through Comcast, others following suit. That one crappy airline that started charging for bags a few years back (Spirit?) and now that is the norm. . Hell, the same airline just announced that they are taking out seats that can be reclined, ahh, modern living is the future, no? These industries trend together and it won't stop anytime soon

I just called and asked about my plan, got it reduced by $30/mnth (for same plan) and credits for the last 2 months. Current bill went from $160 to $60.
Gotta say that while the coverage has issues here and there, that made me pretty happy.

Hold the phone -- this is a rate drop if i'm not mistaken. Yes, ATT does suck, but current Unlimited data is $30 -- and it will be dropping to $25 (for up to 2Gigs).
The new tethering service will be an additional opt-in cost. Search the web a bit and you can find tethering hacks for free.

Check out their facebook wall. The hate is flowing in.

Here in Portugal phone companies are obligated to mantain contract plans, even if it is not available for new costumers...
I guess the US is different, everyone can do the fuck they want and screw costumer rights.
