haha, im loving stevejobs' attack at people saying HDR is pointless and is the new lens flare.
"SteveJobs
and we should all email this guy and tell him he has no grasp on his trade or the tools he uses
http://www.flickr.com/photos/nat…- he has some very nice shots.... not sure why anybody would feel the need to hate on him.sequoia
- no, steve was joking, being sarcastic, saying that the link was to rubbish work, when its actually great.Hombre_Lobo

also the new sony handheld NEX 3 and NEX 5 have an automatic inbuilt HDR feature.
press the shutter once and it takes several then merges them in camera. Obviously PS control is better, but a nice feature.

if you're using 'dynamic hdr' there's a 'sky/skin' function that will help remove the halo around your trees

once you even out the tones using hdr it's good practice to increase the contrast range so the image isn't so tonally flat with all color channels tipping toward the middle around 128. this can be accomplished using a local contrast enhancement.

bracket, RAW,photoshop, not too hard...
it's for architecture and products, and some sky embellishing, but not too damn much embellishing....note that some cameras have more dynamic range, therefore work easier for this stuff... dxomark has sensor ratings...
your eye has more dynamic range than digital sensors, that's why we do this stuff....
