I'm a late adopter, just warming up to the idea of a "smart phone" now. It'll be Android or iPhone, haven't decided. I'm more concerned about data rates and bullshit contracts and such. Cell service and internet-on-your-phone service in Canada is fucking retarded.

ANDROID: run apps through the browser with flash. Fuck the app store bullshit. You're only making Jobs richer.

i bought the curve about three years ago, used it for about a year, then bought a 1st gen iphone on ebay, unlocked it, and using the same sim card went back and forth between the two for a couple months. maybe something you could try with a couple older models?
i found myself using the iphone more because of two features: a real browser, and a much easier to use version of google maps. the rest is just fluff.

Yeh, I'd get one of those Android phones if I were to get a new phone again. I currently have the iPhone 3GS. It's nice and all but I kind of dislike how it all HAS to be tied into iTunes, you're stuck with AT&T, and the fact that it doesn't have Flash.
I use the browser a lot and hate seeing the missing plug-in link ALL of the time, especially with pron and ads that I'd actually like to see. I wish it would at least give me the option. People always say 'what sites do you go to that has Flash that you absolutely need'? Well, I don't write them down when I get to them but I've come across many of them where I wish Flash had been installed. I wish the iPhone had at least given me this option but it doesn't. Those Android phones supposedly do.
All of the apps I've ever downloaded were never really 'that' useful in real world situations either, so the app store was just never 'that' appealing to me. Just give me a few good apps, like weather, dictionary, calculator, and a web browser that works great and I'd be happy.
That's just my 2 cents though.
