Anyone use this? Seems like a great non Flash option for info graphics type stuff.

Not yet, but having seen that raphael lib just yesterday, I was tempted to include it in the site I'm building for myself at the moment - for something unimportant, just for shits and giggles.

PIZZA, thing is IE support for CANVAS is still pretty iffy, even with the use of something like excanvas http://code.google.com/p/explore…

Yeah detritus, it looks pretty nice in terms of ease of implementation, I'm considering it for a real world project. Just trying to figure out if there's any catch.

Presumably, if you're even thinking about it, you're intent is to design for modern browsers - then your catch is just the filesize.
Used across the board, it's relatively small. In my case, I've already got images, font-face and JQuery to load in. 55k extra's a bit much.
Mind you, i could stage the load on one section and use this for charting information - i'm guessing it'd be harder for searchlings to index this sort of content right now, which might make it good for price lists and such. Perhaps not. Investigation required!
- you're = your. All other fuckups can slide. Just not that one.detritus

Apparently it works even on "non modern" browsers like IE6 according to their site.
