Actually, fuckit - I'm changing my mind - sending out quasi-mystical invites with an inscrutable hobo symbol and using that - on its own at the venue, is a great idea.

I reckon it's best to choose something which is a simple symbol - so it can be scrawled on the back on hands using an ultraviolet visible marker.
