Guys, came up with a few logo designs for a customer. I put some sketches together and came up with these plus a couple of business card layouts.
Aside from a "what do you guys think?" question, I'm interested to know if these logomarks look familiar? Seen these anywhere before? Even slightly close?

holy old schooler!
i dig the layout of your 1st link, but like the mark of second one.
Although i think the typeface of "arrow capital' seems a little generic.
thought about researching other typefaces?

Namingforce reminds me of Chevron. I tried to stay away from that.
- i like that you managed to screenshot the OSX volume pop-upSamush

Bon, what's up man!? Yeah, long time. The site isn't what it used to be. =)
Thanks for the feedback. Client is still in decision mode. I may try something else if they don't like these.

I dig the 4 arrowed version as the other feels slightly generic.
Do me a favour and flip it 45 degrees and you have a badassed military looking badge! and the center forms a plus sign rather than multiplication which might make sense also!

I'm going to play around with some of this feedback. I wish I didn't have this day job in the way to concentrate on my freelance at home.
- same situation homey; starting a business with my fiancee is all i can think about in full-time land...ideaist

Chevron comes to mind, but whatever you can't really put a ™ on that.

if you are stuck, i think the name "arrow" presents a lot of typographical opportunities to work some of the more angular, arrow-like elements into the type itself.
a fully realized and custom wordmark might play better brand-wise. and you won't have to worry about the generic-ness of using an abstracted arrow symbol as a standalone mark, which, as you seem to be finding, is really hard to own as there are so many variations.

I think using an arrow in a mark for a company called ArrowCapital is too simplistic.
If you give me an arrow .. I won't remember it. It's too easy.
But I guess a client has expectations - and a generic perception of uniformity is sometimes seen as more important than being clever or unique.
- sometimes = alwaysidentity
- but im just bitteridentity
- I hear you. This guy is an old timer and would probably shit on my clever use of arrows.swollenelbow
