I want an iPad, but I also really wanted a courier for the ability to input and draw with a pen. And now microsoft killed it. Bastards.

Oh. They killed the whole thing. I thought you just meant the pen part.

Maybe http://www.wacom.com will make a stylus that works with an iPad

There are plenty of pen based tablets out there right? Courier looked sexy but it was all theoretical.

Killed, amongst other reasons, because the 'pen (stylus) is dead'. I disagree. I hate the fingerprints and I can't draw or handwrite as well with my finger (unless I want to look like a kindergardener). Also, if someone needs to interact with my device, I much prefer handing them my stylus than having their greasy fingers on it.
I think there is a place for a stylus in these larger pads, I don't care what Steve says. I am starting to get really tired of what Steve says all the time.

Also killed to focus on something 'simpler'. There is room for a power user computer in this form factor. Some of us don;t wish to be spoon fed. I think the iPad is slick, but limited as an actual tool.

I think the creative/digital sketchbook could be a real nice niche for a manufacturer. But I'd also be really happy if a decent app and pen worked on the ipad. Wacom would be the perfect developers no?

DEATH TO EVERYTHING!

The Pogo sketch looks about the same as using your finger. So pretty pointless. I think it's aimed more at people who don't want fingerprints on their screens.

courrier is good for coding, one of the best.
