I got lost once in Florida, driving around.... this was before GPS but after cell phones.... I called a client who said he was "between the Best Buy and the Target" in a silver SUV... and I was there, between a best buy and a target, looking at a silver SUV.... but after a while I discovered there were multiple instances of best buys and target's right next to each other with silver SUV's in the parking lot... in multiple suburbs and I was in the "wrong one"....

I live downtown dallas and it was the best decision i could have made. rooftop pools and bbqs make the summer bearable

Dallas and Houston both have some decent things to do- just stay out of the burbs. And yeah, Rick Perry's an a-hole. It's so weird knowing that the hippy dippy liberal hub (Austin) you live in is actually the capital of TEXAS. Rick's probably right down the street signing some new, horrible immigration bill. Yay!

I grew up in the Ft. Worth suburbs, went to college in Arlington, and you couldn't pay me enough money to ever get me to move back there, to DFW.
I'd move to Austin though. Austin is a wonderful place. South Texas and the Hill Country are beautiful. My dad and stepmom and some relatives live in New Braunfels.

If your car has Texas plates, I don't advise driving to Kansas or Colorado.. I have relatives in both places who curse texas constantly...
