Don't get me wrong the Apple glossy screens make images look great, but not exactly appropriate if you are designing for print as you can't calibrate them very well. However if you are not that bothered colour accuracy then go with Apple.

I can understand what you mean about calibrating Apple displays for print, though I haven't come across this myself. (I'm all about the digital so it's not something I come up against.) Meanwhile those crisp cinema colors give very nice absolute RGB's which makes me happy.

You can easily calibrate an Apple display with or without a glossy screen. Print design and hardware calibrators were invented for glass screened CRTs (remember those?) and adapted for matte LCDs later on in the game. And Rubba_Bubba, it's not fair for you to say Apple's displays aren't color-accurate, because they are. They're usually better than the competition because of their design audience and they offer some very detailed software calibration which is ideal for print work.
