Thats cool, do you have to get permission to fly a tethered device that high or can anyone have a crack at it?

We don't tether the balloon. We let it go. In the US anyone can give it a go. My website has lots of information about how to do it and what equipment I've had success with.

Looks like an amazing project... wish the photos were higher resolution though.
- Well we use a Canon A470 cuz it's cheap and it has a nice sensor. It's 7.1 MP but it's a very clear 7.1. Plus we can program the camera with CHDK. The pics on qbn and my website are crap quality compared to the real images.justinhamel
