anyways, I watched this video (the uncut version) and its disgust me,
war situation/ stress/ mistakes/ human error, whatever the thing is this invasion was started on a lie so pretty much all actions, even justified are null.compare CNN's frontpage to Aljazeera's
I wonder if CNN finally started reporting it or they are still gagged,

They see what they want to see. This video disgusts me. I turned off right after they started firing. Just makes me hate war and human beings more and more.

"Why would anyone be so relaxed with two Apaches if someone was carrying an RPG and that person was an enemy of the United States?"

When will they realise that they can't cover up shit like this and get away with it? The only choice is to change their behaviour.
- lambsy0
nothing ever changes. the masses find out about coverups/corruption years after they happen, it's all over the news, and everyone is outraged, and then that's it. then something else to be outraged over takes it's place. and the cycle continues...
- its a trend thing, where's the peace movement now that Obama is in power, its gone, btw do you know about the Ipad?GeorgesII

Lazy journalism. 5 minutes with Google tells you that the gun on the Apache Helicopters has a maximum range of 4500m, and an effective range of 1500m.
Basically they could have been almost a mile away and still able to fire with accuracy. The Iraqis probably didn't even know they were being watched.

Damned if you do; Damned if you don't.
- It's always better to regret something you have done instead of something you haven't doneflashbender
- Aye, I doubt that'll be much consolation for the shooters, after seeing those kids pulled out..detritus
- ..but then, it could've just as easily been a squad of their comrades, RPG'd and shot to hell.. so.. *shrugs*detritus
- WAR.
IT'S FAN-TAS-TIC.detritus - makes for good reading. albeit disturbing... but goodflashbender

In the past, 'morbid fascination' made me interested in looking at things like this just to gain some insight into these tragedies and scenarios, but like calculator said, i shut it off as soon as the shooting started. It sent chills down my spine, and made me feel slightly ill.
war sucks.

- war isn't new though .. if you were alive in the middle ages, you might be saying the samelukus_W
- Fortunately there were always people to condemn war. And there will always be people to fight against this calamity.dasmeteor
- yep, we're fucked since a very very long time my friend. We're heading right into a wall at a deadly speed.benfal99

Misanthropy.

Personally, this is not because they are innocent journalists I am disgusted. It would have been Iraqi soldiers firing on U.S. troops firing on U.S. soldiers in Iraq, it would have been the same disgust for me. This whole war sh*t disgusts me, this f*cking world rotten to the core. Not to mention the distance, the virtuality of war. As if it were a game, I mean, how many of you have not thought of a video game by looking at this video.
- pillhead0
Well that war people, what did you really expect. sad, I know.
- babaganush0
Obviously it goes without saying that US troops etc. have seen unthinkable atrocities to felloew troops etc. And that the thought of having an RPG aimed at you would cloud your judgement. It's easy to be detached when you're safe but STILL! Never in a million years did the demeanour of these people look like 'engaging' and there was no reasonable force. It seemed like they were in cahoots to dupe command into thinking this was a threat. At the very least a first barrage could surely have been followed by some other means of 'disarming' them or investigating.
The way they say 'well if you're gonna bring kids to a battle'...is a hollow dispicable statement from fools who KNEW in theri heart they had comitted an evil act. Sorry, that's my take on this particular incident and I'm not trying to jump on some troop-bashing brigade...even the way they're practically pleading for the dying man crawling to find a weapon...
- Funny how you read all that in to here. I don't see any of it at all. Perspective is a curious thing.detritus

I repeat this is not a war,
there was never a declaration of war and there's no two states involves in a feud,
this is an unilateral invasion not a war.- Pft. Next you're going to say there weren't any weapons of mass destruction.Peter
- Please! Arguing semantics changes nothing. Two opposed factions are involved in a violent & deadly confrontation.locustsloth
- Sounds like war to me.locustsloth
- Not saying it's right or that it was ok it happened, but trying to say it's not a war is ridiculouslocustsloth
- Yes it is. When Iraqis flew into a building they declared war.Peter
