I like it. Work is displayed nicely. Site is quick and simple. I enjoy the hidden clever aspects (story, recipe, etc)
- Thanks Meg! I have more recipes to put up there...gingerbreadlady

Lovely stuff, nice clean approachable site.
I enjoyed looking through the site. One small gripe, I notice that you have a tendency to add gradients and 'web 2.0' effects on things when they really don't need them. Mainly in the identities section, a lot of them would look alot cleaner without them.
Also on the site, the two horizontal dividing lines have a gradient and I think the site would look alot cleaner if they we solid lines. Small gripe though... nice work!
- funny you should mention the "web 2.0" as it was actually a bit simpler before but I added some shaddows and gradients to get the web 2.0 effect... What did you mean about the identities section though?gingerbreadlady
- i meant that a lot of the identites have got gradients on that I feel are unnecessary, would look cleaner if left flat********
- as in the gentle gradients on the type ie. eight, face2face, jodie chapman, octopus rock etc etc********
- oh I see...well those gradients are actually to give the effect that is was metallic (silver actually) ... I HOPE people get this though! :)gingerbreadlady
- i'd take it all off, keep it clean ;)********

i don't like navigation and the fonts used, good luck
- Thanks for your comments...
I'm happy with the fonts though.
What is it about the navigation you don't like? there's the "disciplines" on the left and the clients names on the right and then the footer....what didn't work for you?gingerbreadlady
- Thanks for your comments...

too many menus, consolidate them into a single tree menu. It doesn't make sense to direct a user to the left side and then have the next piece of interaction on the complete opposite side.
- gingerbreadlady0
Well the idea actually is that the menu on the right is not so much a menu...looking at my statistics, most of the viewers are happy to do the "click through" with the arrows which is quick....the menu on the right is more informational than anything...so show how many clients there are and who they are... This navigation on the site has been like that for a couple of years and as I said 95% of users just click through for a fast viewing experience....
I know what you are saying though - but I also put the names of clients on the right for visual balance to the site....

Comment: Pink text on white background makes it had to read (even when I squint).
Kindness: Nice work.- advice: calibrate monitor.
or: buy decent monitor.******** - < colors have no contrast on the web layoutshoto_can
- the pink on white works fine for me, more than enough contrast********

keep the same rule on those mockups, shadows, background, etc.

Really like the the layout. However I do agree that the color is a little light. I kinda had to squint to read what it said.
- I presume you are talking about the small text under the images?
Do you still have to squint on the text on the story?
