I'm not sure if its stupidity, rather sheer selfishness and lack of care. We know how to work with the earth, we know how to avoid polluting and harming the ecosystem... we don't. Partly due to the leaders of the world being greedy selfish cunts and partly due to the rest of us being lazy fucks too busy working a 9-5 and rushing home to watch eastenders.
