We finally launched V1

this might be a violation of code 764 in the qbn handbook for directly posting a product that competes with a sponsored product. Therefore moderators will be forced to break down the door, throw black hoods over your heads and take you to a remote location and beat you with a sack full of pantone books.

I like it a lot. Love the simplicity. Reminds me of someone's site from here, but maybe its just the red circle logo. Wondering if I could use something like this as a way of presenting the client's work to them, instead of using it as a portfolio (intranet type thing).
Does this support using Flash SWF's as the "portfolio" items? Username and password access to individual pages?

fyoucher1: Yes you could. Although we do not support private pages just yet , feel free to request it in our features forum after you signup. We do not support any flash at this time, if your work contains images or videos then you can post it.

You might want to clean up your copy a bit. The first thing I notice when I see the front page are the over-abundant one liners. All that stuff should stick to the features page, I only need a single sentence to see that it's a "Portfolio Website Management System". Just a thought on the site itself and not the service. :)

I like the look of it as well, and the fact it claims to adapt to the iphone. Sure would like to see something in action. Get a demo up. May try the free version for a test drive.

Why not say on the homepage that it is a hosted service? You sort of hint at it but might as well just come out and say it since that is one of the main elements of the service, right?

arthur: We are compiling a list of sites. It is difficult to show something and present it as a product of 4ormat since there are so many possibilities within the system.

You need to show people what's possible. This is what I think you should do:
1 -> Contact a selection of talented designers, with beautiful work, who are currently using rival portfolio providers.
2 -> Offer each of these designers a free basic accounts for life. In the grand scheme of things, it's not going to cost your company much.
3 -> Help each of them create a beautiful 4ormat portfolio.
4 -> Use these newly created portfolios to promote your own site.
Unless you have examples of what's possible, it's going to be difficult to convince people to sign up.

Need to get the showcase rolling as soon as you can. People need to see examples before committing.
Good stuff so far, I signed up for the heck of it. May use it as another traffic source for sure.

It seems a few users have really hit the road running with designing some great sites. Will keep you posted as soon as we post our spotlight section.
