How come when I transfer a .fla file to my laptop, and then try to work on it, do I get this message:
"Be sure the destination file is not locked or on a locked drive. Also, check that the file name is not too long."
WTF? The file name isn't long, and the drive certainly isn't locked? Why can't I work on this fucking .fla file?
Somebody help me! Please!

If you have the SWF being published to a directory that Flash cannot find then it won't write the file for you. File > Publish Settings > Formats > Either change where Flash is writing the 'Flash' file or just hit 'Use Default Names' on the bottom. Good luck:)
