run down to a art-store, they should have one or two.

Custom book bind them and also make a book case with cloth wrap along with embossing and foil stamp.
make it look like the most expensive book you will ever buy!
will probably cost you $250 to $300 if you are just making one tho.
I would still go with pinazangaro binder. at least it's easier to update.

FYI, expensive cases don't impress anyone. And the most expensive book in the world will never make up for the work inside it, if the work isn't as good as the book. Best bet is to let the work shine in the most logical form.

but if you still want a decent portfolio case.

monospace,
I think i paid $20 or $30 for one to use while I was in school as well. I'm not saying they're the best way to go but they're a quick fix. It worked well for my needs.
I also bought an 11x17 one but. I simply screenprinted the cover and pretty much threw away the included polypropylene sleeves. I used a heavier matte stock on the interior. Most places I showed my book at responded quite well to the book itself.
- so...hinges and chipboard would have been just as good, right?monospaced
- If you say so.d_rek

I bought one similar to the pinazangaro ones, this one was like $100, (after getting many tips from a broadcast I made here at the time).
I went to 2 interviews and both people mentioned how they were impressed with my portfolio case. I got the offers, and the job. I'm not saying that the portfolio alone made the difference, but probably weighed-in a lot I think.
