sheesh

haha. I think this stuff gets posted, just not as much because there are so many web design heads here, and it gets buried quickly by Dude of the day, and Chick of the day...
Go here for better consistency in this dept. The Quickies on the right are updated daily...
http://motionographer.com/- < i wish motionographer had more of a forum community like qbnifeltdave

If you look through some of the editors profiles there's quite a bit of motion people too

To my knowledge since newstoday.com days this forum has been mainly geared towards web. If you're looking for more discussions in regards of motion/broadcast industry, check www.mograph.net

I do motion, I'm a mediocre print designer at best, I don't do web, but I'm on here every day. I like it here because it's a relatively relaxed forum. Motion forums are so serious. No COTD? I mean come on...

We have a thread dedicated entirely to this

i care! true, motion maybe underrepresented here compared to other design disciplines, but let's face it: the discussion is way livelier here than other forums.
now that you've brought it up and you and i care, how about making more signal and less noise?
- neue75_bold0
true, but have you seen all the "....of the day" threads? These cretins mean business...

It's true that there is not much discussion here in terms of motion design, but I find it all the more refreshing for that reason. The discussions over at places like motionographer and mograph are painful. I also love it when the occasional spot that is drawing such praise on motionographer gets posted here and the discussion is a million times different, and in a way, more realistic. Often, people get very caught up on animation technique, but here seems to be more focused on content and design (when not posting "of the day" threads).

Because it's hard to do and I'm so jealous that I refuse to comment on MG threads. :-(

i r motion man, i carez great deal bout this

I'm in motion but qbn is one of my most frequented sites, despite the lack of focusing on that media. I think this place tends to focus on design as a whole. If you post motion work, you'll get targeted comments on things like typography, style, and composition etc. The building blocks, so to speak.

go to motionographer they care!
