As a neurotic collector, collecting, ordering, categorizing and exhibiting things have always given me immense pleasure. I think that I am mainly looking for an aesthetic emotion in the assemblage of things (or ideas) that at first glance might seem incongruous or even tasteless.

Interesting approach from Google Deepmind to showcase the potential of Nano Banana by Porto Rocha:
- Is this a Google project or a studio that showcases their case & workflow with ComfyUI/ NanoBanana?NBQ00
- looks like a collaboration.renderedred
- @NBQOO its the studio Porto Rocha who made the work for Googlemilfhunter

I was quite impressed by this, especially at the end, until that is, I actually interpreted what they're stating properly - the flow of the document implies that the end 3D model is part of the assets generated by NanoBanana, but it's positioned after the outlay of tools used and states that it's 'inspired' which is.. well, a bit weaselly. So it doesn't actually generate that asset.Which then makes me wonder what else isn't quite right.
I'm also wondering how much unusable cruft they didn't include, which then makes me wonder if this is just a suggestive boondoggle to get you to use extra generative credits, or whatever it is that this requires you to pay to use.
"As our final test of the model, we 3D printed a yo-yo via a rendering inspired by Nano Banana and found that Nano Banana Pro handles complex, multi-item scenes easily. It keeps your product models as they should be without warping them, and offers highly realistic outputs with lighting and shadows that make rendering outputs into 3D renderings possible."
- Although interesting, of course it's about money...renderedred
- Of course it's about the money, I'm more wondering how cynically they're being about 'the savings' over a human if they're editing out lots of failed promptsNairn
