Am I just stupid, or is it not possible to force the default rotation of a PDFwhen viewing online through the browser?
I want (client wants) the PDFs to open in landscape mode online, but it forces them into letter regardless of the defaults saved in the file.
User preference only?

Are you setting the view options "Properties" using Acrobat Pro?

i haven't thought about this in a while, but can't that be set when creating the pdf?

That's the thing, I DID set it in Acrobat and locally it opens as specified. Then when you view online, it puts it back to letter.

I guess you could "Print to PDF" with the orientation changed. I'm also confused how a landscape document could POSSIBLY display as portrait.

I did that as well. And it simply rotates the PDF back to landscape. So yes, the content is sideways. That's the bloody problem!! :)

It is not possible to control the rotation on initial view. But, if the PDF is created in landscape, it will be viewed in landscape by default.
