side note There is going to be a US F1 race...Austin texas, seems like an odd location, but apparently they had one there once before.

I'm not an aerodynamicist, but that Lotus looks like it is going to be a massive failure. Then again, Virgin's testing efforts so far have set the bar pretty low.

it's not a F1 car any longer, but I am diggin' on Bugatti Grand Sport's lately

return of the silver arrows! I really like the return to nation based teams. Too bad there is not an american driver pair with the talent to pilot the US F1 car. You know that thing is going to be fugly
I am really tired of everyone's color choices - The orange arrows team had one of the best looking cars around.
Renault is trying, but it just looks like a badly updated Jordan that has been stripped of the hornet.

I doubt 'camouflaging' your F1 car so it will suddenly pop-up in one's rearview mirror is hardly applicable. Though, of course, I'm not an expert. The whole silhouet of an F1 car is already very low and very slim. The big black tires might kinda stick out though - not even mentioning the noise.
Heck, you not only want spectacle - you want to love an F1 car. Like the Lotusses and Williamses of yore.
- really, you think both the cars you featured above are as conspicuous as each other?version3
- Who gives a toss? I'm a spectator, not a driver - as a driver i'd like them bright red, with flashing lightseating_tv
- as a racer, i'd rather the other competitors not see me coming, that's my whole pointversion3
- The majority of racers want the red car too (without flashing lights)...eating_tv

instead of white, i'd rather have it painted like "Saubers boredom" did you think of this in the practical sense of the race? that car blends into the scenery in the rear view mirror and will likely fly under the radar of other drivers in comparison to a bright yellow bumble bee bouncing around back there. it reminds me of a shark.
don't get me wrong, i like bright, i have an orange motorcycle that i have raced around a track with others in excess of 150mph, but i also ride it on the street and would rather be seen in traffic, but on the race track, the closest thing to camoflague will be an added edge in the course of a race.
i can't imagine the the feeling to be in one of these cars at over 200mph, i hate going fast in cars because of the weight and response times. Even on a bike anything over 160mph is tunnel vision, let alone these beasts. wowsas!
- I think the Sauber is hot in its simplicity.monospaced
