Would like to know if anyone here uses a non web-based application that manages and keeps track of clients "to do" list.
I'm running out of room on my post it notes. =P

Why non-web? Basecamp is great.

set yourself up a private blog, each post is a customers project, use client names as categories and give clients a user/pass
wordpress can do this
makes for easy internal and external communication plus its available from anywhere
- how i missed non i'll never know, but i find clients like this and it can be freeversion3

ss, think of what basecamp and blogging are doing, categorizing and databasing your information. is there anything you have on your computer that may do something similar, like excel, etc?

Wow...attempted to post B e h a n c e (dot) net and QBN apparently does not like this - "Response: Your request has been denied due to the nature of its content."

Exactly! Categorizing and Databasing information is exactly what I'm looking for but without having to pay a monthly fee. I do have excel but perhaps theres something out there better than inputting data on tables.

Instead of PostIts, I use a little notebook (like a 4" x 6"). That way I can take it all with me if I decide to take my laptop somewhere to work; it has all the notes, phone numbers, etc. that get jot down while on a phone call; I can't accidentally throw it away or have it fall and slide under my desk unknowingly.

What about something like Yojimbo or Bento?

I'm full-time freelance and these programs help me organize my entire life.
The big thing is, you have to treat these apps like your learning Photoshop, and really get to know them, watch/read tutorials, etc... Once you can easily use them, they are hands down the best apps for organizing anything (combined with Mail and iCal).

I use a moleskin at my desk, but it's only for taking short notes while working on projects. Things like font, colors, sizes, fleshing out ideas, etc...

Anyone ever used this ? http://codecanyon.net/item/clivo…...
