Can someone explain why someone would buy a 10" tablet with a watered-down OS for $999, when you could get a regular 13" Macbook for the same price?
You're not going to be slipping the tablet into a pocket like the iPhone. So inevitably, you're carrying around a bag or sleeve. Surprise, just like a regular 13" laptop!

McGraw-Hill CEO just confimed the tablet is going to be announced tomorrow, that is based on the iPhone OS and of course they have been working with Apple for quite some time and will bring books to it...

I really don't expect the main view to be like the iphone screen view with app icons.
My prediction is that it will have some kind of version of the Mac OS dashboard, and that is where the app icons will be displayed; you'll access them by a single icon click or button click. That brings along the question of what will be displayed in the primary screen view...
I'm unaware of whether more colors/light on a lcd/led screen wear down the batter faster, but I'd have to assume that the normal view would not be a giant desktop image IF it depleted the batter faster.

My prediction is that it will not be a computer at all but the world's first mass market artificial lifeform, a bionic pony that can shift shapes at will and travel easily from dimension to another while shooting LCD/LED lightening bolts out of its eyes. Available in 5 colors.

That's fucking ridiculous ukit, there's no way they'd go to the trouble of offering 5 colours when the whole colour thing died out in the late 90's. It will be black or silver, maybe white as a sort of ironic retro throwback niche fad.

I think it would be awesome if they didn't even release a tablet or any new computer, but instead entered the weapons industry and released a carbon fiber sniper rifle.
