You can check out Versions - less geeky SVN and more interface pleasantries.

Used to use Git. Back on SVN now which sucks ass frankly.
Neither of them are really fit for purpose. Get a few branches going and then merge and you're in conflict hell.

Thanks for the links, gitready.com looks useful.

git is the awesome. i mostly use it from the command line, but when things get messy, pull out gitX to see what's going on with a project. if i don't have to, i'm never using svn again.
plus, https://github.com/ is amazing.
this site has been really helpful for me in learning git: http://gitready.com/
shoot me an email if you want another comprehensive, non-online git resource.

Using GitX. That gui makes it a bit easier to interpret what’s going on but it doesn’t include all of git’s functionality so you need to go back to the terminal a lot. Which sucks if you don’t know git because you spend more time trying to wrap your head around git than you do getting any actual work done.

are you using the command line? you might find it easier to use a gui front end for it, i think there are a few out there now. I personally use svn, but everyone seems to be jumping on git now, as it's distributed so a lot faster and uses less space to store all the changes.

do you perhaps have a blog we might read?

Anyone used this for web projects? How did you go?
I’m using it at the moent to collaborate with developers and gotta admit, finding it hard going so far... it's cryptic.
