Hey all, last summer i was made redundant, so been freelancing in since and doing really well. At the moment i've been thinking about working abroad and just wondered how easy it is to do? I didn't do the whole gap year thing after uni and went straight into work, to get my experience etc.. but now i'm thinking that I should take the opportunity and go work/travel. Is there any good sites about getting Visas and stuff?
Cheers!

You college-graduate, around-bumming, ultimate-frisbee throwing, beard-growing hippy (I kid) have any specific country in mind? There's, 'like not really', a general-visa that applies to everywhere.

Who's going to want to hire someone bumming around the other side of the world like a high tech tramp

if you can freelance and competently design and build websites, then get the fuck out there... for example. you can live in northern Thailand for about £40 a week. providing you charge £20 for freelance back in the UK, you'd only need to work 3 hours a week. (i added an extra hour, because you can afford to work at a slow pace)
i don't know about india or south america but asia is very well connected with broadband. even running your laptop from a mobile is fast enough.

Frank Sinatra says working abroad is the same as pimping. So there.

If you're English and under 30 get yourself a one year working visa for Canada, Australia or NZ. I did and worked in Sydney for a year. Well worth it.

or if you're a member of an EU country, just go to a new EU country
