if you can freelance and competently design and build websites, then get the fuck out there... for example. you can live in northern Thailand for about £40 a week. providing you charge £20 for freelance back in the UK, you'd only need to work 3 hours a week. (i added an extra hour, because you can afford to work at a slow pace)
i don't know about india or south america but asia is very well connected with broadband. even running your laptop from a mobile is fast enough.
