How do you display web design work in your portfolio? Do you show more than 1 page, or is it only your homepage/strongest page?
- Take a wild guess.monospaced
- don't do it like this:
http://farm4.static.…uan - lol, damn it! I was going to do it that way too!wademd

yea I find usually that the person her culls the applicants is rarely the person who actually interviews you.

You got it right in your second thought - you can explain the process in the interview. I used the exact 12 pieces in my print portfolio and my PDF version that I emailed. Here's what I learned:
1) Putting together the portfolio (at least in my case) is very time consuming. You will save time that you can use for searching or other things if you don't have to do twice the work.
2) When I showed up for interviews, I noticed that at least one person was familiar with the pieces, but there were others in the room that never saw the pieces.
3) I noticed some people who asked that a PDF portfolio was submitted with the application, never looked at the PDF. It was all new to them when I showed the print, during the interview. Or maybe they just looked at a couple pages of the PDF, but not entirely.Hope this helps
- Thanks for the tip! Exactly what I was thinking about.wademd

I am starting to redo my portfolio, and I was thinking about some stuff. Should your print portfolio contain different pieces than your pdf portfolio? In the past I would send the pdf content I used for printing though email to potential clients. Is this something I shouldnt do? Now that I think about it I will be showing the same pieces they already saw if I get the interview. I suppose that you can explain your execution in the interview.
Anyone have any tips?
