It looks like Adobe is going to try to shut down any site using the name Flash (or Photoshop I guess). Too bad it has to work this way, don't these companies help Adobe by promoting the use of their software?

Adobe is the new Microsoft. It will end by everyone hating them.

Yes, those sites do help people learn about their software and makes them want to buy it and encourage their employers to buy it. Good plan shutting that down.

FlashDen ≠ Flash
Fuck you, Adobe. I bet you let some old fucking suit over 60 make this decision... running off of the old school paranoia that a site like that is making money simply because of it's name... ...did you stop and think about all the folks who goto that site and use it to do nothing more but LEARN YOUR SOFTWARE?? Are you that fucking stupid?... 3rd party forums are where I've learned just about everything I know about Flash...

yeah. pretty retarded.

BTW that Envato site is headed down the tubes, their site is ugly and now a horrible new name, it would be a great time for someone else to jump in with a site like that
How about QBNDen?;)

what a waste of money and effort kinda like when a company makes a sign of there logo and places infront there headquarters. that money could have went into development.... IDIOTS

they should have counter sued Adobe, told everyone that this is what happens when you have some paranoid, mentally unstable, self-interested corporation running things.
They can name things HTMLDen and JavaScriptDen, WebDen or whatever but not FlashDen? Why do people have to put up with some stupid labeling workaround? The technology is called Flash, things based on it can be called FlashBlah. Simple instead of confusing.
They should have counter-sued and made a big fuss. Would have made Adobe crazy, as they should. Then they should have started a JavaScriptDen to underline the point, and help open web technologies.

There is probably a certain time period in which Adobe has to act to remind someone not to use their trademark, after that it's too late.
