hey America... not every documentary needs to be a film you could just put them on TV like the BBC does you know.
Stop being so pretentious and acting like its high culture just to watch some current affairs

Man, I still have my great grand pappy's journal written when the whale oil ran out. Terrible, dark times. Amazing humanity survived the 19th century.

Saw it last night. I don't agree with everything, but he's dead on about most of it. Definitely worth watching.

sometimes i get the feeling that these banking oligarchs that run the major industries around the globe.. who maintain a monopoly on credit and oil.. will in fact implode or 'collapse' the modern world as a means to control population and then for technological consolidation of control over every living individual.. this century will mark the transformation to this new futuristic controlled society..
or perhaps maybe i just believe in a bunch of esoteric nonsense and am caught in an unprecedented coincedence

Having to drill dangerously deep offshore is a huge sign of this collapse.
The solution: Slowly raise the price of oil ourselves (yes, with taxes) to help transition to more sustainable alternatives and increase efficiency. Of course we will never get off oil completely, but the more we can cut out, the better.

Does he offer a solution? Move to a cabin in the mountains?

It's pretty much unavoidable. The best thing we can do is be honest about it and work to prevent the worst damage.
He says a big part of it will be going back to communities... Learn a real skill to help people get through it... eat local, organic food, etc...
