Most companies are on Twitter or LinkedIn. Does anyone know of agencies that use facebook as a tool to spread their presence on the internet, or any other social networking sites?
Thanks!

Just name any company. Most of them are on Facebook too. But to be honest I doubt it makes a lick of difference.

Most companies do now.
I think it does help with getting more visitors to the site and with relationships forming between clients and the agency. Someone was just telling me the other day that, while face-to-face discussions are usually best, FB can make some conversations more comfortable and less awkward. Definitely more convenient if there is distance between the agency and the client, people are asking similar questions, or want to participate in discussions.
(Email is more suitable for one-on-one conversations)Hopefully someone else can give you some examples.
- Thanks. I know fans are having more open conversations using facebook. Also getting updates on events and promotions.saunakspace

I guess the best way for an agency to spread their presence is to build social projects for other companies. Vitrue (http://vitrue.com) does a lot of great social projects but their own facebook page only has about 1000 fans and isn't all that special but their work for "The Hangover" and "Where the wild things are" is top notch.

When you go to a company facebook app, view the source for the image and 9 times out of 10 you'll find the image being hosted on an agency's website, the agency who designed and developed the app. Check out the facebook presence of those agencies and you'll find your sources.
Here are a couple social specific agencies:
