What do you reckon is the best phone on the market?
Been looking at buying an iphone for ages but keep going back and forth on it. Instead have kept my phone/ door stopper/ remote control/ paper weight/ weapon. But enough is enough and think its finally time to purchase a new phone.
Do I go for the iphone or do you think there is something better out there?

Having demo'd the Palm Pre / Droid / iPhone, I really like the Droid the best.
That said, I own none of the three. I'm stuck on a winmobile AT&T tilt at the moment. Don't feel like shelling out the $ to drop my contract for droid, or picking up an unlocked iPhone at this point in time.

iPhone is a pretty average phone BUT it's also a mother fucking Apple computer, in your pocket.

Palm Pre is dreadfully underpowered. The iPhone is limited but what it does, it does better than anyone else. Not seen the Droid. The popularity of the BlackBerry (like the popularity of Windows) is proof that marketing trumps quality.
I have an iPhone, if I didn't I'd be waiting for the Google device.

The best phone for me is the one that ACTUALLY WORKS in my apartment... iPhone doesn't, but my old Samsung does, so that's my best phone...
Seriously, does it seem that plain old flip phones have better signal reception than smartphones?

In my opinion the only good phone around right now is the iPhone. People who say it isn't seem to hate Apple to make some sort of point, though it's usually unclear what the point they're trying to make is.
