I would

I personally would not, but in the i know a few shops where that would fly off the shelves in the gift section.
To me, it says 'fuck you, I won't buy bottled water but I will spend $14 to show people that I don't buy bottled water'. With that logic hipsters will buy it for sure :)

It used to be the beauty of America: whatever shit you have to sell, there's a market of 300 million + Canada for it, anything goes.
Nowadays, internet in every household, I could say the World is your limit, but with the knowledge of this week's intergalactic announcement by Sir Richard Branson, I can boldly say not even the sky is.

It's certainly attractive enough as far as a product goes...
I have no qualms about using a glass bottle vs a plastic one, for the most part I am not completely idiotic when handling water bottles. For me they only see limited usage at the gym which has padded floors. I can see how that might be a deterrent for clumsy folk though.
I guess the major sticking point would be the $14 price tag. I have yet to come across a water bottle that was better than the multitude of ones i've received for $0 from various vendor booths/gift bags throughout the last decade or made me even consider paying more than $1.50 for a cheapo dasani or whatever the fuck. Just sayin'.

Put that design on a stainless steel canister and I'll buy...

hose water is the best especially when you are really thirsty and that is all you got. worm rubbery hose water. yummy.

Well in America that means 'Dirty Water'

there's two other similar bottles here if anyone is interested... faucetface.com

i prefer the aluminum bottles with my own dirty tap water.

this would sell in cities that have clean drinking water, i imagine. for instance, the bay area is proud of how clean their tap water is so it would be a source of pride for them to carry this around. shoving it in the face of someone in a city with poor water regulations is kind of mean. unless this was sold side by side with tap filters.

- interesting, I've always heard NY had great tap water but that site says otherwiseraskalnikov81

i like it.
you could do a whole range. bath water. dish water. nice to have on your desk and refil. better than refilling plastic bottles. better than a cup that you can knock over your laptop. also better than metal ones that make you look like a high school student or wana-be rock climber.a desk bottle. brilliant.

good idea.
go for it.
doesn't sound like it would be a massive investment.
better hurry up though, christmass approaching soon.

for the record, i can buy a thicker glass bottle of milk that i can reuse after i'm done with the milk. i could return the milk for my 5ish dollar deposit but why? i now have a container for my hose water with a lid...
- mydo0
what! that's like saying i can buy a plain t-shirt and save the money on going to a fashion shop.
oh wait. i see. you're the board protagonist
- version30
mydo, you're backwards buddy
the fashion/designer label shirt is usually of higher quality. i've mentioned the milk glass to be quite thick, therefore safer if you choose a glass container for daily portable use in case of accidental shock or drop
these are the equivalent of the ed hardy shirts with a hip slogan strewn on an everyday object just to be marked up.
it's cool and all but in no way practical for long term use...
"damn, i just broke my $14 glass" instead of picking up a plastic or metal container

Water bottles, it's kind of an american / canadian thing isn't it?
Here in the Netherlands / Europe ... I don't see anyone with them, except for my american colleagues ..For the record ... we can drink all the water here out of the tap.. But in France you can't for example ..
- I would buy it to put it on a shelve but not to use. It looks really nice.Jordy
- no need for portable water? the hose thing is implying bring your own from homeversion3

- That's what people carry around here with here.Jordy

For what it's worth they are designed to be thicker than say a snapple bottle. Not milk bottle thick tho. It's also meant to be just a bottle for home or office use. If you want something for your morning jog this clearly won't do.
- mydo0
although not being an expert on milk bottle manufacturing i would guess they are not a high grade product. a $14 bottle i would imagine is made of sturdy stuff. either way. it's going to be sat on your desk. i would hope it would survive a drop to the office floor. carpet, wood laminate, dog, whatever.
anyway, people buy iphones.
but out of this comes a nice idea. print trendy slogans on to milk bottles. sell them for $5. i'd buy 3.
- really? you don't pay attention at the grocery store? half the weight is the bottle!version3
- i'm guessing this has already been done thoughmydo
- i don't live in the US.
UK milk bottles aren't tough though.mydo - oh, strange, they're like weapons here, several of my friends have them for drinking, as a vase, dressingsversion3
- i want some American milk bottles.mydo
- your breakable comment is still rubbish though !mydo
