Just lost an external HD. Had used it as backup for stuff so that was OK as I still had the original files but there were two folders on there that I was storing on there, and of course, now I have to pay lots of cash to get a data specialist to retrieve the folders. The ironic thing was I had ordered a new external HD to back up those files the day before the HD crashed. SIGH.....

I use Dropbox to backup all my code bases, templates, fonts, porn, WIP for new clients, etc. It works swimmingly. I don't care for faulty POS drives anymore.

Time Machine, once an hour. I've learned my lesson from 4 dead external drives in a row, dating back 8 years.
