Hi guys
I'm trying to Rec my DJ mix using vinyl and a A&H mixer (with record output connection, using red/white RCA cable) to my power mac G5.
I've connected the mixer to my comp but aint getting a wave form in Audacity.
Anyone know how to do this? Doesnt have to be Audacity, willing to buy other software.
the cable I'm using at mo is the RCA to headphone jack but I'm thinking I need some sort of RCA to optical for the line in on the back of my mac.
Any help much appreciated as this is causing a head ache ha.
Cheers

I don't think you can go from RCA to Optical, you'd need something to convert the signal from analog to digital. Why not just get an RCA to 1/4" and plug into the line in?

hey, thats what I have done, so I have the RCA's in bk of mixer then the jack plugged in the line in. After watching this vid
when the guy goes to preferences, under playback heading, device: he selects built in output. Mine only shows built-in audio.
