I'm trying to Rec my DJ mix using vinyl and a A&H mixer (with record output connection, using red/white RCA cable) to my power mac G5.
I've connected the mixer to my comp but aint getting a wave form in Audacity.
Anyone know how to do this? Doesnt have to be Audacity, willing to buy other software.
the cable I'm using at mo is the RCA to headphone jack but I'm thinking I need some sort of RCA to optical for the line in on the back of my mac.
Any help much appreciated as this is causing a head ache ha.
I don't think you can go from RCA to Optical, you'd need something to convert the signal from analog to digital. Why not just get an RCA to 1/4" and plug into the line in?
is it just me or are dj sets in local clubs now just a fucking playlist on an imac? i spent 2 hours soot over the dj booth filled with turn tables, a mixing desk and all the trimmings only to see some spotty oik watching his mac
hey, thats what I have done, so I have the RCA's in bk of mixer then the jack plugged in the line in. After watching this vidwhen the guy goes to preferences, under playback heading, device: he selects built in output. Mine only shows built-in audio.
works fine with Amadeus Pro, so sorted it now, thanks.
