Hey dudes
lookin fir a wee bit of advice on a new pair of headphones for my iPhone (not great sound I know) and was lookin to see if any QBNers had recommends?
I've liked pretty much every pair of sennheisers I've ever owned.
I don't like in ear, I like closed back over ear and I have between £30-£100 to spend.
Any advice would be Hamazin'
cheers!!!

The Bose ones are good. My son has a Skull Candy pair and they hurt my ears.

I don't entertain anything that is not Sennheiser.

I heard dem. There alreet. Think I might go down the Bose route for a change. My sennheiser 215 sound pretty sweet but I look like a total douche on the street. Plus they wernt the most exspensive pair and they still sound good. Dose anyone hove any specific pairs they are in love with?
Ps + q1 on skull candy bein crap.
Tinny bollocks for emos and ting.
Changes my whole perception of someone if I see them in a pair of those....

Sennheisers are good headphones, but you don't need amazing headphones to play mp3s on an iphone. The Sony MDR V6s are great: http://tr.im/F6iE and they don't fall apart like the tool headphones above. I have used the v6s for 12 years now in my studio/djing and for my iphone/ipods over the years.
- referring to the sony v700s which are used by the shiny crap djs of the world.refunktion
- i've also owned the one's you linked up and they broke way before the shiny crap ones did.lvl_13
- just sayin'.lvl_13
- I like the MDR series actually
they might not be sennheisers, but they are far from being bose's eitherMeeklo - lvl_13... you should be more careful with your headphones! heh.refunktion

I use these. Good sound. Comfortable unless you have big ears. Single side cord with a nice stretchy accordion loop thing. Think they costed around $50. All in all happy with them

also, if you're looking to use it for iphone you're probably thinking portability too... if you like earbuds you can snag a pair of shure e2c's for about 70 bucks nowadays. they have incredible clarity, sound cancellation so good it's creepy, and come with a snazzy case you can keep in your bag

that WESC logo looks like a rip of JL Audio and Atari

the Nixon headphones are pretty cool. They work with the iphone too, no idea how they sound... but they were designed by some people at my old work: fuseproject
- uh...duh, link: http://tr.im/F6OArefunktion
- so nixon are good, but mdr are lame... you just lost all cred buddy :)Meeklo
- design wise, they are cool. mdr v700 are just shiny loud cans for djs.refunktion

Sennheiser all the way.
I bought a really expensive pair and they were awesome and got stolen. Then i bought a cheap pair and they are awesome and are still awesome after 4 years.
i also have the in ear phones with the adjustable rubber caps. also awesome.
whats also awesome is that you don't look like a wannabe dj, alien, or absolute wanker with the headphones. they're rather streamline... awesome.

The iPhone headphone amp/socket sucks, you won't get the benefit of any of these pricey cans out of it. Get a line-out adaptor which gives you a phono socket from the connector and feed that to a small pre-amp.
Goto dealextreme and look at their Fiio accessories, the E5 is a cheap amp, E3 cheaper. The E1 is an all-in-one. Not as clunky as it sounds. pjbox are uk stockists http://www.pjbox.co.uk/store/car… but DX are cheaper.
