You need imagery. Badly.

Get creative.
- Thanks. You are a credit to QBN.dudleyi
- Aren't you suppose to be doing your job? Or are you asking other people to get creative for you?Peter
- This is what I'm able to come up with that's half/way useable. I'd never show the midpoint between this version and the previous. You hate marquees right?dudleyi

Already thought of that. Hands are tied as far as images.

you certainly need to get some life into that website, it’s about sports/workout, I mind you... having a little illustration to each of the benefits would be a start, then start to work on the typography (even though you used different weighs, colors, sizes it still looks kind of dull, not very appealing) and I would change the color scheme. also here: more active, lighter! the black certainly does not fit in there... and why don't you use some animation for the navi, something moving around? goddammit, there are a thousand things you could do!
- Client design choice. Colors are tied unfortunately. I mean yellow hover? Come on. I don't have that bad of taste.dudleyi

i really don't like the dotted lines under the menu text. Either warm it up with a SUBTLE gradient for the background, or cool it of with less strong colours. Also white and black can somethimes go together, but not so much of each. The black in the menu bar can be a similar colour to the background perhaps?
A almost prefer the old one - easier on the eye.

Hate to say it but in the absence of any actual design development here, the original looks to be the easier option on the eye.
From a purely visual point of view I would choose the original over your re-worked version. Sorry.
- Thanks for your input. Too bad if I used it I'd lose about $1k.dudleyi

What else? Hire a designer. Sorry.

fuckit - go out and visit the greater innerwebs, find a site you like and just copy it. Don't 'rip' it, per se - just make a more than familiar ode to it.
It's hard to begin even describing what you should do otherwise.
- per se, per se, per se, per se, per se, per se, per se, per se, per se, per se, per se, per se, per se, per se, per se, per se, per se, per se, per se, per se, per se, per se, per se, per se, per se, per se,detritus
