i really don't like the dotted lines under the menu text. Either warm it up with a SUBTLE gradient for the background, or cool it of with less strong colours. Also white and black can somethimes go together, but not so much of each. The black in the menu bar can be a similar colour to the background perhaps?
A almost prefer the old one - easier on the eye.
